As per the regulation of Gauhati University, semester system Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) has been introduced in the TDC Classes w.e.f. the session 2019-20. Accordingly, the TDC consists of six semesters covering three years. The following are the salient features of the semester system.

N: B: A student can choose either Political Science or Education as Elective subject
Subjects For Honors Course :
The college offers Honors Courses in the following subjects :

- Assamese

- Philosophy
- Political Science
- Sanskrit
Subjects For Ability Enhancement Course :
- English / MIL Communication
- Environmental Science
N.B: Students having Assamese Honors or Hindi Honors or English Honors are not allowed to take up Assamese M.I.L / Elective Assamese / Hindi M.I.L / Elective Hindi / Elective English / Alternative English respectively as per G.U. Rules.
Students having Mathematics can take up either Economics or Geography only as elective subject.
A student who has secured at least 45% marks in relevant subject in the H.S. Final Examination will be eligible for studying Honors in the subject. Selection of students will be made purely on the basis of merit.

Bachelor of Vocation (B Voc) under Gauhati University
B. Voc is a three-years duration undergraduate course that can be pursued in a wide range of fields like Health care, Food Processing, Tourisms, Information Technology (INT), Retail Management (RMT), etc. These courses help to developed adequate skills of the learners and enhance their employability in the job markets. One of the biggest advantages of pursuing B. Voc course against common degree courses is that a candidate has multiple exit points during the programme. The multiple exit points means that if a candidate is unable to complete his/ her B. Voc. course, he/she is still awarded with –
- Diploma after successful completion of first (1st) year.
- Advanced diploma after successful completion of second(2nd) year.
- Voc Degree after successful completion of third (3rd ) year.
Information Technology (INT):

Retail Management(RMT):
